Founded in 1961 by the shipbroker Herbert C. Meyer in Stade on the south bank of the river Elbe, today the headquarter is located directly on the port terminals at Seehafen Stade. During the sixties the company acted as a Chartering broker in coastal shipping in the North Sea and Baltic Sea. Later on at the beginning of the seventies, the activities were expanded to liquid chemicals and LPG. Nowadays the range of services provided by Herbert C. Meyer covers all transport solutions in the field of Chartering including Marine Consulting and Port-Agency for every kind of vessel at all German Ports or transitting the Kiel-Canal.
