Lasser Media began on the campus of the University of Maryland, College Park in 2016. Ricky Lasser was completing a year-long documentary telling profiling the prison system's workforce re-entry program. At this time, he began to work with the university and local businesses to share their stories online. The business moved to Columbia, MD as we partnered with Howard County government agencies, sharing the stories of individuals who don't often see the spotlight: Homeless youth, low-income workforce and health services. In 2019, Lasser Media moved to its current location in Baltimore, where we can now best serve the wider Maryland community.
