Eastern Victoria GP Training (EV) is an independent company contracted by the Commonwealth Department of Health to offer comprehensive education and training programs to equip registrars with the skills required to become independent General Practitioners through completion of the fellowship requirements of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and/or fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine . EV delivers training throughout eastern, south-eastern and north-eastern metropolitan Melbourne, Mornington Peninsula and Gippsland. We offer general and rural pathways and both RACGP (FRACGP and FARGP) and ACRRM (FACCRM) endpoints. EV was formed on 1 January 2016, the result of a merger of the east Victoria components of VMA GP Training and Southern GP Training (SGPT). Both VMA and SGPT were well experienced in the delivery of the AGPT program. EV offers the combined expertise and experience of these well-credentialed and successful training providers
