Major Road Projects Victoria has appointed the McConnell Dowell Decmil Joint Venture as contractor for the Mordialloc Freeway. The 9-kilometre freeway will connect the Mornington Peninsula Freeway at Springvale Road in Aspendale Gardens to the Dingley Bypass in Dingley Village. The Freeway will improve travel times and ease congestion in Melbourne’s south east region, providing safer, more reliable journeys. The project will also give heavy vehicles an alternative route, provide better access to key employment areas, and promote active transport options with an off-road shared walking and cycling path.
