The South Melbourne Cricket Club has a proud history, Producing; • Nine (9) Australian Test Captains; more than any other club in Australia. • Forty-eight (48) International players have represented the club, and eight (8) of which have been listed amongst Wisden’s “International Cricketer of the Year”. • Casey-South Melbourne Cricket Club (CSMCC) was formed in 2005 and moved to our new home at Casey Fields Sporting facility at the start of season 2006/07. Our history at Casey Fields Vision, strategic planning and commitment are key elements to the success of C-SMCC in coming seasons. Vision: To be a high performing Premier Cricket Club, through team success and providing a pathway for greater individual honours. In the last 10 years, our success includes top four finishes twice for our 1st XI as well as 1st XI semi-final appearances three times. We have seen our 2nd XI make the 1-day grand finals and our 4th XI make the quarter finals. We have been a part of the development of first class players such as Clive Rose and Jayde Herrick with Matthew wade becoming our 48th player to play for Australia.
