euroAtlantic Airways (EAA) was founded in August 1993 as Air Zarco. The company first adopted the trade name Air Madeira which was retained until May 2000, when the memorandum of association was altered by deed and the current name of euroAtlantic Airways - Transportes Aéreos S.A. was adopted. Since 2019 the company is owned by I-JET Aviation PT (I-JET). EAA is a Portuguese International Airline, operating in the most diverse routes in North Atlantic with an air transport license and FAOC to operate into North America (the US and Canada), Central and South America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and the Pacific. EAA has a Portuguese air transport license AOC number PT-01/99 (74), and the FAOCs from the US with license number EY9F925F, the Australian with the license number CASA.TFAOC.0038-3, the Canadian with the license number F-9990 and Mexican with the license number 4.1.205OPS-3041/11. It provides charter services, wet leases, and ad hoc flights from anywhere to several places in Europe and to the rest of the world. With a fleet of 7 aircraft - six B767-300ER and one B777-200ER, EAA is authorized to perform line maintenance services up to A Checks for third parties at Lisbon airport according to the 8th category of the Ramp Assistance License, rules 8.1 / 8.2 / 8.3 and 8.4. The approval PT.145.027 allows EAA to perform line maintenance on B767-300 (PW4060 and CF6-80) and B777-200 (RB211-Trent 884) aircraft. The approval PT.MG.017 holds Subpart I privileges on B767, and B777 aircraft. Since November 2010 EAA has been an IATA Member with the call sign of YU, IOSA Operator since August 2009, FAR Part 129, EASA and IACA Associate Member. O.A.A.G.C. Insurance Brokers with Catlin France SAS as the leading underwriter, provide insurance cover for EAA's operational activities.
