The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is an international learned society for computing. It was founded in 1947 under the name Eastern Association for Computing Machinery, which was changed the following year to the Association of Computing Machinery. It is the world's largest scientific and educational computing society. It is a not-for-profit professional membership group. Its headquarters are in New York City. ACM delivers resources that advance computing as a science and a profession. It also provides the computing field's premier Digital Library and serves its members and the computing profession with leading-edge publications, conferences, and career resources. ACM also sponsors computer science-related events such as the worldwide ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). JEC ACM Student Chapter provides a solid foundation for students interested in pursuing a career in computer science and information technology. Our chapter provides members with the opportunity to learn and improve in their areas of interest on a daily basis.
