FAPBM stands for Madagascar Protected Areas and the Biodiversity Fund. For more than 15 years, the FAPBM has been working to ensure financial sustainability and mobilize funding sources for the conservation of Madagascar's protected areas. Created under the impetus of the Malagasy Government, Conservation International and WWF and thanks to the confidence of donors such as Conservation International, WWF, the French Development Agency (AFD), the French Global Environment Facility, KfW, the Global Environmental Facility, etc., the FAPBM has been able to fund the conservation of 48 protected areas spread over more than 3,6 million hectares in 2022.
