DOWNEAST Plastics Ltd., located in Cap-Pelé, New Brunswick, was founded in 1982 after a conversation at the Boston Seafood Show that convinced Joseph P. Landry, a fish packer, that there was a market for aquaculture related polystyrene products. Today, Downeast Plastics supplies the fishing industry and the construction industry with expanded polystyrene (EPS) rigid foam products. Also, we have a Gel-Pak line that seafood processors use to ship fresh products all over the world.
