Wake Forest Rotary Club
www.wakeforestrotary.orgThe Wake Forest Rotary club is a local service organization with 42 members. We are business, professional, and community leaders who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world, starting locally here in Wake Forest. One of our newest programs, LaunchWakeForest, a local entrepreneurship training program that was created last year in partnership with the Town, The Chamber, Rotary and Wake Tech was able to educate and graduate 22 local business owners in the spring of 2018 on all aspects of business operations from Marketing to Financials. Based on the feedback received by these participants, LaunchWakeForest was able to provide value, insights, and strategy to existing local companies who you would recognize as pillars of the Wake Forest Community as well as newer business owners who you are sure to hear about in the future as they grow. Many of the LaunchWakeForest businesses have grown and hired friends and neighbors in our community. This is what helping local business is all about. In addition to promoting education to Wake Forest entrepreneurs, the Wake Forest Rotary Club also provides college scholarships to students at Wake Forest High School along with sponsoring the Wake Forest High School Interact club, which is the High School version of Rotary. Local high school students also benefit by our Rotary club sending them to RYLA. RYLA is an intense, fun-filled weekend training program that brings eleventh graders together to further develop character and leadership skills. It offers the opportunity for the students to build self-confidence, gain exposure to a variety of issues and people, meet active community leaders, and learn valuable information and career skills. If you are interested in learning more about Rotary, join us for dinner most any Monday nights at 6:30pm at the Forks.
