We provide a range of services all aimed at helping victims of domestic abuse become safe. Shine services include: * National Helpline 0508-744-633, operating 7 days/week, 9am to 11pm * Crisis intervention and advocacy for victims, primarily referred by Police * Shine women's refuges and transition housing – short term safe accommodation in Auckland for women and children, and transition homes for longer term safe accommodation * KIDshine - helping children exposed to domestic abuse become safe and begin to heal * No Excuses – group and individual men's stopping violence programmes * Professional Training – extensive training programmes & seminars delivered nationally and locally * Violence Intervention Project in health sector - rolling out routine family violence patient screening in all District Health Boards, particularly in Auckland District Health Board and Auckland primary health services * DVFREE workplace programme - helping businesses and other organisations create safe and supportive workplaces for employees who experience domestic abuse Shine is a service division of Presbyterian Support Northern (PSN), one of NZ's largest charity social service providers.
