Integrating cost optimization with engineering design, the H2 Clipper operates at a cost of $0.18-$0.25 per ton-mile for distances of 1,000-6,000 miles, out-performing all available competitive cargo delivery systems. The H2 Clipper is designed to have a critical enabling role in the global transition from fossil fuel to the hydrogen economy. Large scale green hydrogen projects can achieve costs below $1.50/kg driven by low cost renewable resources - but often at locations separated from major energy markets by thousands of miles. H2 Clipper provides a highly flexible, scalable, liquid hydrogen (LH2) distribution platform, point to point, at costs of only 60¢/kg for a 1,000-mile journey; less than $2.00/kg for 2,500 miles; and approximately $3.00/kg for 4,000 miles.
