Rēs soaps are 100% natural and handcrafted in Lebanon by women artisans using the “cold soap making process”. These unique creations are eco-friendly, biodegradable, free of parabens, EDTA and chemical preservatives. All soaps are scented with organic essential oils that are recommended for cases of stress or to treat anxiety and fatigue, avoid insomnia, soothe muscle pain, and body aches. Rēs' product offering also includes marble bath accessories and natural candles made with beeswax and soy wax and 100% cotton wicks. The company was launched in 2016 in Lebanon by Léa Aouad, Liliane Aouad, Mona Gabriel and Micheline Choueiri, four women who share the same passion for sustainable and high quality natural products. They take the sourcing of their materials and ingredients very seriously and all their essential oils and base ingredients are 100% natural, traced and certified organic. The founders also strongly believe that corporations can and should be a tool for positive social change. Rēs' social impact is thus threefold: (1) Creating economic growth through the employment and empowerment of rural women (2) Sponsoring the education of disadvantaged Lebanese children by allocating a share of the proceeds of the company's Soaps for Good collection to a tuition fund (3) Contributing to the preservation of our planet by producing eco-friendly and biodegradable products and continuously advocating for sustainable solutions and lifestyles.
