The Nuclear Innovation Institute (NII) is an independent, not-for-profit organization that provides a platform to accelerate innovation and the implementation of business relevant solutions for the nuclear industry. NII’s goal is to shape a Canadian nuclear industry that embraces new thinking, new technologies and new lines of business that can drive the global shift to a low-carbon future. OUR PROGRAMS: CLEAN ENERGY FRONTIER This is an advocacy and economic development program that focuses on promoting the value that Bruce, Grey and Huron counties bring to Ontario in the drive toward a net-zero future. The program works with local leaders and clean energy stakeholders to raise awareness on the region's current—and future—advantages. NEW NUCLEAR & NET ZERO PARTNERSHIPS The Bruce Power Centre for New Nuclear & Net Zero Partnerships will advance the connection between the fundamental role of nuclear—both existing and new installations—and Canada’s pledge to achieve net-zero carbon emissions, demonstrating that there is no viable path to a net zero future without nuclear power. NII EXPLORE NII Explore is dedicated to delivering enhanced educational opportunities for school-aged children to learn, experiment, discover and create. Our educational programming offers a range of learning styles that connects students to the best teaching and knowledge available.
