In 2014, founder Nisha Katona had a nagging obsession to build an eatery serving the kind of food Indians eat at home and on their streets. She gave up her 20-year career as a full time Barrister to build Mowgli Liverpool and opened Manchester Mowgli less than a year later. Now standing at 16 sites strong, serving cities including London, Glasgow Cardiff, Leeds and Nottingham, Mowgli has been recognised as a trailblazing industry leader. In 2019 Nisha received an MBE for services to the Food Industry. Mowgli exists to enrich lives in the cities that we go to though the lives of our teams, our guests, and our communities. Our culture is based on our three values of Intelligence, Grace and Graft- the Mowgli DNA that flows through every single employee. The simple dishes of a Mowgli menu are a million miles away from the curry stereotype.
