The International Order of the Golden Rule (OGR) is a not-for-profit membership organization of independent, family-owned funeral homes located throughout North America and overseas. Founded in 1928, OGR's mission is to make independent funeral homes exceptional. We do this by building and supporting member interaction, information exchange and professional business development through a wide range of programs, services and resources. Our Standards of Ethical Conduct guide our members' business practices and philosophy, allowing them to provide unsurpassed care to families "by the Golden Rule." Headquartered in Austin, Texas, OGR is a 501(c)(6) organization incorporated under the laws of the state of Texas.
