www.banana-business.comThe Banana Business is established with the motive to reduce food waste. The banana is the second most consumed fruit in the Netherlands, only beaten by the apple. On average, we consume around 20 grams of banana per day per person, which comes down to 720 million bananas annually. In order to reduce the food waste that is created from this, we want to use the peel instead of the fruit. Not only do we reduce food waste, we also provide you, our customer, with a tasty and completely vegan product. The Banana Business consists of Simone, Minke, Joëlle, Marit, and Daphne. Our vision is to reduce food waste. During our Master Health Food Innovation Management at Maastricht University, we developed a product made from banana peels. Our backgrounds in psychology, food technology, nutrition, and health make us a diverse and creative team.
