The Live Musik Kommission e.V. (LiveKomm) is the federal association of music venues in Germany and represents more than 530 music clubs and festivals in over 100 cities and towns. Its members are amongst the largest providers of local cultural events, urban tourism and German and international talent promotion. As an umbrella association, LiveKomm represents and advocates the political interests of music venues at regional, national and, through the Live DMA, also at European level. Lobbying at these levels is crucial to achieving understanding, acceptance and support for the venues. The support of club culture, as well as the promotion, further development and preservation of live music and related art forms and the development of communication and public relations work, with the aim of networking music venues on a national and international level, are among the main tasks of the lobbying association.
