North Wells Capital, LLC is the newly formed investment management affiliate of Urban Innovations, Ltd. Our leadership team has the real estate investment experience and knowledge to deliver attractive and sustainable risk-adjusted returns. North Wells goes beyond executing acquisitions, due diligence and asset management by emphasizing risk management and preservation of capital as central parts of our investor-focused model. Together, North Wells and Urban Innovations are hands-on real estate operators, not investment allocators. We understand the importance of being directly connected to the real estate, our tenants and our local market. Our collective experience in property management, leasing, construction management and financial reporting differentiates us from most other real estate investment managers. North Wells will initially focus on the core office sub-markets of Chicago for new investments. Urban Innovations has been a pioneer in the River North area of Chicago, investing in commercial properties since 1978. Their participation in the growth and movement toward “creative office space” is changing the way offices work, which is a trend we think is here to stay. The name North Wells comes from the first investment made by the Urban Innovations founding family, 444 North Wells; a property they still own today.
