Stone Bru was founded in 2015 by Brad Lepper, Jeff Boonstra, and Robert Jennings. The three Sioux City entrepreneurs began with no formal background in coffee, but quickly learned the business and developed a deeper passion for quality coffee and customer service. 3 stores and 1 mobile coffee bar later, Stone Bru has grown into Sioux City's leading café, winning Sioux City's "Best Coffee" award in 2018. Our motto, Ground Level, sums up the focus of the foundation of our company: Quality. Quality is determined by the value we deliver to our customers, in the eyes of our customers. We pursue the finest coffees and latest equipment not for the sake of our coffee, but the customers who drink it. Our true north as entrepreneurs is the market. We believe that the market will be drawn to the highest value at the end of every day, and we want to be the company holding that banner to the communities in which we trade. In keeping with our core beliefs as coffee traders, we seek to source some of the highest quality green coffees available in the world. We believe in the philosophy of Win / Win, and seek out Fair Trade and environmentally conscious products. Our coffee is roasted in Sioux City, Iowa and brewed by multiple methods in the highest quality equipment we can provide. We have a deep passion for business, and want our cafes to be the place to meet clients, network, and dream up new concepts.
