Kidogo Media
www.kidogomedia.comMISSION: Kidogo Media exists to help marginalized groups feel seen. We believe that there is value in holding space for minority groups such as people of color, women, people with disabilities, neurodiverse people, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. As a boutique media agency, our purpose is to make media that is accessible for all and reflective of the world that we live in. Our media is one in which marginalized groups are the focus instead of an afterthought. ABOUT US: In Swahili, the word “Kidogo” means little or small. Kidogo Media was established with one phrase in mind: “Kidogo kidogo hujaza kibaba”. This common Kenyan phrase loosely translates to “Little by little fills the pot” and is the basis for everything that we believe. Every major social change started with one small idea and grew from countless small contributions to it. We started with one small idea: that the voices of historically marginalized groups should matter. As we grow, we hope that the stories on our platform will create a network of lived experiences that lead to progress. Our vision is to outline what a more inclusive society could look like in the future. Alone, our voices can feel insignificant. When combined, little by little, they become too powerful to ignore.
