Asia Medical Specialists (AMS) is a company providing sub-specialist surgical and non-surgical care in Hong Kong, China and Macau. Founded in 2005, it is based in Hong Kong. The company won the Hong Kong Awards for Industry ‘Innovation & Creativity’ Award for combining all aspects of sports medicine – into a unified team under its ‘Sports Physicians’ and ‘SportsPerformance’ brands. Re-named ‘Asia Medical Specialists’ to reflect the broader range of medical specialties, and provision of services in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Macau, AMS, has grown organically, with an expanding team of doctors and, in the sister company, SportsPerformance Physiotherapy, paramedical professionals, providing expert care in their sub-specialist fields. AMS has close to 20 doctors, about forty non-professional staff, and, in the sister company SportsPerformance Physiotherapy with paramedical professionals. The main medical specialties are orthopaedics (surgery of spine, hip, knee, foot & ankle, hand, wrist and children), pain management, neurosurgery, general surgery as well as internal medicine.
