Strömstad Academy is a Nordic Institute for Advanced Study. Fellows of the Academy are Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Research Associates, and Research Assistants. Strömstad Academy has Fellows from all parts of the scientific field, and welcomes applications from prospective Fellows to akademi@stromstad.se. Strömstad Academy is basically a virtual institute, but it has a base in the Swedish west coast town Strömstad with an office in Strömstad City Hall. Among activities, the Academy arranges a yearly Academic Festival in Strömstad late in June. The Academy arranges, together with the municipality of Strömstad, yearly a Science Fest that present science in a popular way to the general public.
