In 2013, five talented architects had a dream - a common goal to serve their higher education clients with the highest caliber of service, student-centric design, and humility. Those five architects, firm principals who had been working together for more than 15 years, branched off and founded their own firm, KWK Architects. Now, KWK Architects has surpassed $1 billion in construction value and employs a growing staff of 15. The five founders — Dick Kirschner, Paul Wuennenberg, Sara Koester, Eric Neuner, and Javier Esteban — continue to work with public and private universities nationwide, forming relationships that have translated into a high level of repeat business for the firm.
