Established in 1935 by German, Austrian and Swiss immigrants, the Vancouver Alpen Club prides itself as being the heart of the German community. As a BC non-profit society, the club is owned by its members, but open to all. We promote German cultural events and cultural events from other Germanic countries. The Vancouver Alpen Club is home to the Deutches Haus Restaurant, serving authentic German cuisine and pouring the finest German beer. The Club also has cultural spaces to rent and is an ideal and unique venue for events. Our famous `Das Original` Oktoberfest has been running for 30 years!
