Anchor Wellness LLC
www.anchorwellnessllc.comMy name is Kate Gebbie, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides accessible mental healthcare to all of Connecticut. I specialize in Perinatal Mental Health (issues such as Postpartum Depression and Anxiety), Motherhood/Parenthood Issues, and Trauma. I have over ten years experience in the mental health field in various capacities. I started by working as a mental health worker in a child and adolescent psychiatric inpatient unit, earned my Master's degree in Psychology and became a clinician for a home-based program at a community mental health agency. Through this same agency, I became a certified therapist and supervisor in Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) and eventually coordinated both MDFT and the Intensive In-Home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service (IICAPS). I also became a certified trainer for the Traumatic Stress Institute teaching the Risking Connection curriculum. Throughout my time at this agency, I also maintained a small outpatient caseload working with parents of our clients. As a mother myself, I have a strong passion for helping mothers in particular access services, particularly in the transition to motherhood. Roughly one in seven women experience postpartum depression. It is imperative that these women have access to needed mental healthcare. My mission is to help moms who feel too busy, too isolated, and too overwhelmed to start enjoying motherhood the way they deserve. My services are provided exclusively online through secure video, so it is like attending therapy in an office but clients can access services from the comfort of their own home, on their lunch break at the office, or anywhere in between! If you want to know what therapy is like with me, I talk a little bit about it here: https://youtu.be/oOMQzPBzHwM
