Following the vision of its founders to "change the world and make it a better place for this and future generations," the W. Clement & Jessie V. Foundation concentrates its grantmaking in three areas: early childhood development, youth development, and education (with an emphasis on teacher quality and principal leadership). Today, the Foundation has an asset base of over $100 million and distributes almost $5 million in grants each year primarily in Chicago, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and the San Francisco Bay Area.
