Founded in 2003, the British Association of Sclerotherapists is the leading professional association for UK and Ireland sclerotherapy practitioners, providing a network of experts collaborating to disseminate information and share best practice in foam and microsclerotherapy treatments. We offer educational and networking events for industry professionals and access to expert opinion, by means of conferences and workshops as well as publishing articles and sharing knowledge. We also aim to inform the public, media and allied health professionals. A non-profit organisation, the BAS is managed by a Board comprising pre-eminent vascular surgeons, and nurses who are in the forefront of sclerotherapy advances. Members benefit from access to articles and information on the BAS website https://www.bassclerotherapy.com/, a Find-a-Practitioner listing to promote their services, and significant discounts at CPD-accredited workshops and conferences. In 2017 the BAS set up an open LinkedIn Group for sclerotherapy-related information and discussion, as well as a member-only group. There is also a Facebook page and Twitter feed.
