Lisa Gordon has been solving event problems creatively for over 30 years. A graduate of Bryn Mawr College, she began her career as a theatrical stage manager, and is a member of Actors’ Equity Association. Working in live theatre has honed her skills in customer service, managing high-stress situations, logistics, and juggling projects with many moving parts. She has also had the privilege of working with many talented and skilled artists, from whom she has learned a great deal about aesthetics and creating beauty. Since 2006, she has brought her eye for detail and management skills to bear on weddings and family events. Clients and vendors alike often comment on her calm, down-to-earth, and non-judgmental approach to planning. Lisa specializes in both non-traditional and eco-friendly events and welcomes inquiries from members of the LGBT community. Lisa has some great industry connections to help you plan your wedding or party, and she is willing to work with any reasonable budget. Lisa is active in her community and volunteers her time with both the Green Wedding Alliance and the Rogers Park Food Co-op. When she’s not working or volunteering, you will find her riding her bicycle or tending her garden. "I firmly believe that weddings are for everyone. While wedding fashion magazines and blogs portray mainly women who are young, white, thin, and rich, the reality is that people of all ages, races, ethnicities, body types, genders, social classes, sexual orientations, neurotypes, religions, and abilities marry other people who answer to all of these various descriptions. People who may feel outside the mainstream still need a wedding planner or coordinator. I strive to be inclusive and welcoming to everyone. If you have concerns about acceptance around your wedding, I will listen to you. I believe your concerns and hurdles are real, and I will help you in any way I can.
