Batna city is located in the Aurès Mountains at 1,048 meters above sea level. It is the fifth largest city in Algeria, and an important industrial and academic hub in the country. Besides that, University of Batna 2 is one of top universities in Algeria, with hundreds of young talents graduating every year. It has major assets in terms of staff experience and demonstrated adaptability which constitute an efficient add value to SPE. University of Batna (now Batna2) graduates have been considered since a long time ago as recruitment pool for Sonatrach NOC and by others oil and gas companies in particular Industrial & HSE Engineering degree programs. The creation of University of Batna 2 (UB2) SPE Student Chapter, constitutes an outlook on the global oil and gas E&P industry, technical knowledge sharing and SPE activities contribution. All stakeholders of UB2 Student Chapter are doing their best in order to be an efficient added value for SPE activities and then contribute to technical knowledge sharing and development.
