When Daljit Sidhu opened his first location it was a modest operation with only one employee. Today there is two locations and thirty employees including his wife Raj and son Amrit. Daljit’s oldest son Janeet although not employed by S&S Insurance also works as an underwriter in the insurance industry. S&S Insurance is a family owned and operated business with deep roots in the community. Daljit has built a company culture based on, treating his employees like family and giving back to the community. Over the years Daljit has been an advocate for positive changes in the community, co-founding the Punjabi Market on Main Street, assisting several well-known politicians in their community initiatives, serving as a director on boards such as the South Vancouver Neighborhood House, Canada Place Corporation, the BC Chapter of the Punjabi University Alumni Association, and presently serving as an Area Director for Greater Vancouver on the IBABC Board. Daljit in his semi-retirement has left most of the day to day operations to his son Amrit, leaving him more time to pursue his passion for community service and political reform. Since taking over the day to day operations Amrit, in the family tradition has continued to grow S&S Insurance Services Ltd. by expanding the product offering, expertise, and online presence, while still offering the high level of customer service our clients have come to expect.
