The combined total of work experience is over 125 years of professional experiences across the globe. Jacqueline Oliveira, the founder of faeron, after years of individual consulting projects, offered a suggestion that the group pool their collective professional knowledge. The intent of the consortium would be to utilize the vast knowledge of members to teach businesspeople to have successful cross-cultural business dealings and create trust across any international or geographic boundary. The response was an overwhelming, “Yes!” Why? Because every faeron partner has had international business experience and knows the challenges of being thrown into a cross-cultural business situation, having no clue how to create trust across the cultural divide. Faeron partners bring years of personal experience to workshops and programs, which means that participants are being taught by people who can intimately relate to the challenges of building trust across cultures. In essence, we know what we are talking about. One does not need to have international business experiences, nor be with an international organization, to gain insights from faeron programs or facilitators. Using the globe as a metaphor for diversity, the concepts of trust-building and community-building applied in our international programs align perfectly with the challenges of working cross-functionally and throughout a supply chain.
