I’m Mickel van Kouwen, a freelance digital designer & art director who creates visual experiences for agencies and brands. A freelance digital designer with a passion for creative branding, Born and raised in the area of Utrecht, a middle large city in the center of the Netherlands. Besides putting my creative talent into design and interaction, I’m also a relaxed, but at the same time serious guy to work with. In my freetime i like to kitesurf, mountainbike, snowboard and hanging out with my friends, have fun with my dog Charlie and do primitive things like drinking beer and BBQ… Knowledge I am fully up to date with web design, app design and interaction. Developing creative and interactive solutions gives me the opportunity to create both concept and design. I stand out in translating the newest trends to surprising, unique and highly usable solutions as is reflected by the awards I have won (with my previous colleagues / clients): FWA Award ‘Mobile of the day’, multiple Customer Media Awards, EMMA Award, a golden SpinAwards (best content) …and loads of small ‘Site of the Day’ awards.
