We have walked a mile in your shoes and we have stories to share As the Director of Hi-Vis Women Australia Pty Ltd, I have been researching all aspects of the current culture of the Construction Industry in Western Australia and I can see the progress that has already been achieved and is still evolving to ensure a safe and positive culture. Our goal is to demystify the building and construction industry for young women. With the experience we have gained we want to share the choices that the very many and diverse career paths in building and construction offer. Especially for those that for whatever reason further studies is not an option. There are many entry-level positions they can explore with our help. Before we invite young women into this male-dominated industry we have to ensure it is an emotionally and physically safe environment. Hi-Vis Women have a total understanding of the culture in construction and it is a fantastic industry to work in but we still have work to do as no industry is immune from predators and bullies so we will teach the soft skills needed. In order to BE PART OF THE SOLUTION, we have innovative strategies to challenge the norm.
