Founded under the Jindal Centre for Social Innovation + Entrepreneurship (JSiE) in 2016, the Legal Entrepreneurship Cell of Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) aims to provide pro-bono legal aid in the form of research and drafting to NGOs, start-ups, companies and business professionals. Please find below a quick snapshot of the kind of work undertaken by us in the past: • LEC helped a group of college students based in Vellore in forming an NGO. We provided advice relating to registration of a trust and drafted a trust deed as well. We drafted various other contracts for them too. • We drafted an employee stock option agreement for a company based in Delaware. We assisted the company with terms and conditions and a privacy policy for their social networking application. • We assisted a US based company in filing a patent application in US, where the inventor was based in Saudi Arabia. • We are associated with an education technology start-up, and are assisting them with their employment contracts, web policies and research for a potential trademark infringement suit.
