We are 1520, a boutique Millennial and Gen Z marketing and employer branding consulting agency based in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. We have been shaped by our international backgrounds (one Swiss, one German, both a little Dutch), our diverse education, our families and friends, their businesses and by sub- and countercultures. Consequently, ‘1520’ is derived from ‘1520 Sedgwick Avenue’, an apartment building in the Bronx, New York City, that is known as the birthplace of Hip Hop. 1520 are Marius Zürcher (1989) and Maike Nuyken (1991). Through 1520, Marius is the Head of Marketing & Communications at an established Dutch theater festival that combines the performing arts and hospitality, and the Marketing & Communications Project Manager at an international business school. Maike combines her work for 1520 with her work as the HR Manager at that same business school. We have a strong network of likeminded partners - graphic designers, photographers, consultants etc. - to fall back on when additional skills are required.
