Established in 2016, in San Francisco, Vidy (“Company”) is a tech start-up company focused on video web technology that was founded by Harvard Undergrad Patrick Colangelo and former Credit Suisse Investment Banker Matthew Lim. The Company now has office locations in New York, Shanghai, Singapore and Indonesia, with a total headcount of 20 people. Patrick Colangelo leads the tech team in New York while Matthew Lim leads the business development and operations in Asia. Today, Vidy’s technology is used by more than 50 global media companies such as CNN, CNBC, Vogue, Esquire, Hearst Media China among many others, sits on over 10bn monthly page views of inventory, and has over 150mil of user base exposure monthly. The Company’s foundation has also issued 2 native cryptocurrency tokens which are listed on the top cryptocurrency exchanges with more than US$2mil of trading volume each day. These tokens are part of the Vidy ecosystem that provides rewards to users as they watch videos on websites that use Vidy’s technology. The Company’s stakeholders include the likes of MNC Group (One of Indonesia’s largest media conglomerates), BSG VC, JVR Music (Jay Chou’s Management Company), V3 Group (Holding Company of OSIM and TWG Tea) etc.
