US- Africa Synergy envisions an African Continent drawing on the power of its youth to reach its full potential. MISSION STATEMENT US-Africa Synergy is a New York-based 501 (C) 3 non-profit organization that harnesses resources to prepare African youth and empower African women for Leadership and Entrepreneurship in Africa and the United States for fostering a comprehensive community development. OUR GOAL By the end of the year 2014, US-Africa Synergy intends to raise $150,000 from Africans and Friends of Africa to: - Provide full scholarships to 20 young women aged 19-25, residing in Africa and selected to attend the 2015 African women LEAD Program. The full scholarship will cover training related expenses. - Award ten micro grants of up to $2000 to top ten projects initiated by fellows in Africa after completion of the training. PROGRAMS: African Women's program for Leadership and Entrepreneurship The African Women LEAD Program for Leadership and Entrepreneurship is a 12-week intensive training that prepares young women of African descent to contribute to the economic and socio-Cultural Development of Africa and to achieve their personal aspiration. US- Africa Synergy Immersion Series. Through the USAS Immersion Series, US-Africa Synergy organizes visits to prominent institutions in the United States every year with a selective group of young African visionaries. On this visits, participants have the privilege to further educate themselves on the operating process of hosting Institutions, learn on the management style and explore career opportunities. The program’s goals are to: •Expose young African women and men to a wealth of information and knowledge in order to increase their professional network, stimulate their personal development, enhance their self confidence and strengthen their career growth. •Nurture the career endeavors of young African women and men in reputable and international institutions.
