Bar Academy Bulgaria is a chain of vocational training centers for bartenders and bar managers in the cities: Varna, Pleven, Rousse and Veliko Tarnovo. In 2014 two more training centers were opened - in Bansko and Vratsa. Bar Academy organizes professional courses with an internationally recognized certificate from the International Bartenders Association (IBA - International Bartenders Association) and Bulgarian diploma for professional education. Our training program is designed by IBA, according to the world standards and goals to maximize students potential through practical and theoretical lessons in an environment which simulates a professional cocktail bar. Besides the certification courses, Bar Academy trains students from Schools of Tourism and Catering, giving them the opportunity to acquire basic skills bartender once class a week for free. The founders of the Bar Academy members with the highest rank in the Bulgarian Association of Bartenders (BAB). Natural extension of ideas and objectives of BAB was the establishment of schools to identify and train quality staff. Part of the management of BAB, in the person of President Mr. Pencho Penchev, Vice-President Mr. Ivan Filipov and board member Mr. Tihomir Stamenov, laid the foundations of the concept Bar Academy. Their followers and teachers in all regions are elected members of the board of the Association with proven professional qualities and reputation. Member of the BAB and follower of the ideology of the Bar Academy is double world champion Mr. Vasil Kolev and President Mr. Pencho Penchev still holds the Guinness record for most cocktails offered at the bar in the world. Much efforts were invested into creating the perfect mix of technology, knowledge, taste, service and a pinch of creativity, with the help of which our bartenders will justify the height of the growing demands and trends in the field.
