Girls on the Run is a youth development program that instills self-esteem in girls through health education, life skills development, mentoring relationships, and physical training. The after-school program meets twice a week for ten weeks and culminates in a celebratory, non-competitive 5K fun run. Girls on the Run — Sierras offers a fall program in Reno, NV and a spring program in Truckee and around Lake Tahoe. Mission: We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
