Huellas Sanadoras foundation is a non-profit organization that develops, standardizes, and implements Animal Assisted Intervention programs into Latin American healthcare systems. These programs begin with certified treatment teams consisting of a volunteer handler and rescue dog who have undergone extensive training and evaluations. Based upon the aptitudes of the individual therapy dogs, these teams are then deployed into specific healthcare settings, where they utilize standardized, evidence-based activities to augment traditional medical care.
