Danish First Aid Council in numbers: Issued course certificates annually: 226,000 (2016) Number of registered instructors: approx. 4500 Member organizations: 7 Cooperating organizations: 6 The Council is an umbrella organization for some of the largest first aid organizations and providers in Denmark. In addition, cooperation agreements have been entered into with a number of organizations. The council is registered as an association and its operation is financed through a tax on certificates issued Through contact with, among other things, Authorities, we are working to spread knowledge of first aid and to plan and ensure high quality in qualifying first-aid courses. First Aid Instructors can be registered with the Danish First Aid Council through Council member organizations and through the organizations with which collaboration agreements have been concluded. Only instructors registered with the Danish First Aid Council may issue the Council's electronic first aid-certificate. Registration as an instructor assumes that you have completed the Danish First Aid Council's instructional training. Council duties: - To encourage citizens in Denmark to carry out the first aid courses of the Council. - To spread awareness of first aid in Denmark through information and education. - To work for common standards for qualifying first aid courses in Denmark, based on the latest recommendations. - To design and determine the duration of first aid courses.
