Candour Productions is a female led, multi-award winning independent production company, based in Leeds in the north of England. We create powerful, premium documentary films that make a difference. Our Creative Director Anna Hall is the only woman ever to have been nominated in two consecutive years for Best Factual Director at the BAFTA Craft Awards, and in 2021 she took home the award for Best Producer at the hugely prestigious Women in Film & Television Awards. We've won the RTS Journalism Award; The AIB for Best Investigation; The Women in Film & TV Best Factual Award; and in 2021 won Production Company of the Year for the second year running at the RTS Yorkshire Awards. We were also nominated for Best Investigation at the British Journalism Awards in 2021. We are currently in production on an institutional access series, 'Inside the Coroners Office' for Five, and a premium limited documentary series for Sky Documentaries. We produce the BBC 2 series Yorkshire Midwives on Call and also co-produce with our sister company True Vision in London the multi award winning series Catching a Killer for Channel 4.
