The Apple and Pear Growers Association of SA and the Cherry Growers Association of SA have amalgamated to form Fruit Producers, South Australia Inc is the peak body representing apple, pear, and cherry growers in South Australia to: * promote, advance and protect the South Australian Fruit Crop industry; * foster cooperation, collaboration and goodwill between participants in the South Australian Fruit Crop industry; * provide leadership and advocacy concerning issues faced by the South Australian Fruit Crop industry in general, and any particular Fruit Crop industry, where such Fruit Crop is grown by Members in South Australia; * foster cooperation, collaboration and goodwill between research, educational institutions and any other associations or bodies formed for the betterment of the South Australian Fruit Crop industry; * facilitate the sharing of information relating to the South Australian Fruit Crop industry and any particular Fruit Crop industry, where such Fruit Crop is grown by Members in South Australia; * initiate, promote or oppose legislative change or other measures that will impact upon the South Australian Fruit Crop industry or any particular Fruit Crop industry, where such Fruit Crop is grown by Members in South Australia; * represent the interests of Members (collectively) and the South Australian Fruit Crop industry in trade and industrial negotiations and applications; * to represent the interests of Members (collectively), the Association or the South Australian Fruit Crop industry in any other organisation concerned with the South Australian Fruit Crop industry or any particular Fruit Crop industry, where such Fruit Crop is grown by Members in South Australia.
