Torie Giffin, the Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort’s visionary and intrepid leader, has always led with her heart and passion for others. Hospitality is at her core. So, when she decided to create a resort for cyclists there was no question she was going to make it great. Your basecamp for adventures, steps from Garden of the Gods, near Red Rocks Canyon Open Space. You belong here. We are a vintage, western motor inn with a bicycle twist. Upon arrival you can check in at the lodge to get a key. The lodge is open from 7 am to 8 pm daily. Check in is from 3 pm to 8 pm. There is a doorbell with someone on property 24/7 for emergencies. We serve a continental breakfast in the lodge. A favorite local watering hole, our bar’s happy hour is daily from 4 to 6 pm. We serve CO craft beers, hard ciders, wines and local moonshines. There are board games, chess table and various yard games like corn hole and connect four. We have a heated pool open seasonally. Single gear bicycles are for guest use. We have bike locks available for you to use in the lodge. Torie and her family bought this property in 2016. Four generations of cyclists, Torie a road cyclist, and her two sons are unicyclists who have both rode their unicycles to the summit of Pikes Peak, her mother and her grandmother in her 90's still get out on rides on their adaptive tandem bike. If you happen to be a bicycle enthusiast, Torie leads a free community ride to various scenic locations in the surrounding area each Saturday morning weather dependent. Check in is at 9:45 am. We are happy to recommend trails and routes, which are plentiful in this area. We also are easy walking distance to Garden of the Gods. America the Beautiful was actually written downtown in 1893 inspired by views of Pikes Peak and the mountains here.
