Imperial Seed Ltd. is an accredited seed processing facility focused on the multiplication and processing of proprietary forage and turf seed. Seed production is facilitated through a network of seed growers throughout Western Canada. Growers have at their disposal almost 60 years of cumulative field experience with our staff. This provides both new and experienced growers with an extensive resource related to their seed production. With more than 50 years of processing experience, our staff has encountered a wide variety of species and qualities. Imperial Seed is committed to keeping the growers’ interests foremost while maintaining contract quality. Imperial Seed’s roots run deep in Western Canada, dating back to 1950. Already in the late 1950’s Imperial Seed was moving from its primary focus of processing and marketing quality seed oats and seed wheat into proprietary forage and turf seed multiplication. The expansion continued to the point that by the late 1970’s Imperial Seed’s processing was entirely focused on the forage and turf seed market. The foundation of Imperial Seed’s success and growth is a history of quality and integrity. Today these traits continue to provide the basis to establish and maintain long term relationships.
