Wrestlers for Christ is a sports-specific ministry founded in 2008 by Brett LaMar and Michael Vander Linden. As high school wrestlers in Kansas, these two young men wanted to glorify God and spread their faith through the sport of wrestling. Today the organization is reaching out to and impacting the wrestling community beyond the wildest imagination of these two young men following God’s lead. We exist to serve athletes, coaches, officials, and the extended wrestling community. Our desire is to help build Champions on and off the Mat for Jesus Christ. We are committed to taking action through the W.O.R.D. Wrestling, Opportunities, Resources, and Discipleship. It is our belief that these 4 areas of ministry will impact and expand the vision of Wrestlers for Christ to the greatest extent.
