Sarah Pyle Academy (SPA) is the “BREAKTHROUGH” school program of Wilmington, Delaware. A unique program where students experience education through a Blended Learning, Flex Model with as much, or as little Personalized Learning that makes sense for each student along their path toward graduation and “life after SPA.” SPA meets all students at their zones of proximal development creating a personalized plan to support their unique learning from that point. Every student develops their capacity to demonstrate mastery of academic content and skills at their own pace, with the target for achievement set at a minimum of 1.5 years worth of growth, an ACCELERATED RATE. Students also participate in 16 hours/week of aligned Job/Internship experience designed to develop students’ career & college readiness skills.
