The Gavel has been transformed into a quasi-academic law journal in 2016, which focuses on trending issues impacting on the legal landscape in Asia Pacific region. The Gavel adopts a double-blind peer review process and accepts submissions, including articles, case notes and news commentaries. The Gavel is the flagship publication of the Chinese Law Students Society (‘CLSS’) at the University of Sydney Law School.
