Since our formation in 1970, we have developed into a highly regarded national charity with over 20,000 members and over 100 affiliated local groups across the country.. We are often the first point of contact for new parents of a baby with Down's syndrome looking for information and advice, and remain a valued source of support to families as their child grows and develops. People with Down's syndrome are entitled to high quality healthcare, good education, often in mainstream schools, to have jobs and to live fulfilling lives within their local communities. We provide information and support for people with Down's syndrome, their families and carers and the professionals who work for them.
